Ben Harries

Ben is a Lawyer and Trust and Estate Practitioner specializing ininsurance strategies and estate planning. He completed both a Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws at Cambridge University in England and was called to the Alberta Bar in 1997. Ben provides expert life insurance strategies for shareholders of privately held corporations, has authored course material and provided instruction to chartered accountants for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Calgary, Edmonton, Regina and Vancouver. Ben is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the Canadian Tax Foundation.
Mel Majeau
CA, TEP
Mel is a Chartered Accountant and Trust and Estate Practitioner with seasoned tax expertise and in depth knowledge of life insurance solutions. A partner in Edmonton firms of PricewaterhouseCoopers and predecessors for 30 years, he specializes in tax and insurance planning for private corporations and their shareholders, estate and succession planning and corporate reorganizations. Mel is a member of the Institutes of Chartered Accountants of Alberta and British Columbia and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. A former governor of the Canadian Tax Foundation, he has completed a number of specialized In-depth Tax Courses of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Ross Young
CA, CFP
Ross is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Financial Planner specializing in tax and estate planning with a focus on charitable gifting and foundations. Ross received his CA designation in 1995 while at a major national accounting firm and his CFP designation in 1999. He subsequently completed the In-Depth Tax Course of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Ross has authored course material and provided instruction to chartered accountants on estate planning and advanced insurance strategies for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Calgary, Edmonton, Regina and Vancouver. Ross currently serves on the National Board of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners.
